This is beautiful brave Lucy a 10 month old Cocker with Perthes Disease, the bone into the hip becomes diseased and has to be removed surgically and basically a fibrous joint then forms. The muscle has become very very weak and can not support the weight on it but with patience, time, hydrotherapy and a dedicated owner it can be built up slowly. This is only week one and it will be exciting to see Lucy's progression to a more normal puppy life.
